Introduction
Shropshire Building Skills is a training
company specialising in foundation construction courses.
Most of our foundation courses are completely
practical and require no written work or final exams. Every
process is carefully explained and demonstrated by our qualified
training instructors at a pace which suits every candidate.
With years of experience in the industry you can be assured
that you will be instructed to the highest standards and receive
individual attention due to small class sizes ( maximum 6
candidates).
No previous experience is necessary in
order to take part on any of our courses. All courses are
open to both male and female candidates over the age of 16.

On completion of your chosen course you
will receive a national governing body certificate outlining
all the modules you have covered and are competent in, this
can then be used for either personal or professional use to
gain employment.
Whatever the reason; a change in career,
to learn a new skill or to refresh an old skill, you will
find our courses both personally and financially rewarding.
All training tools and materials are provided to complete
each course with the option to purchase new tools and professional
step by step training DVD’s from our on-site tool shop
at trade prices.
Our weekday courses are held Monday to
Thursday 9am start to around 4.30pm finish and Fridays 9am
start to 2.30pm finish and our weekend courses run Saturday
and Sundays 9am start to 5pm finish. On the first morning
of your course start date could you please arrive at 8.30am
for registration purposes.
If you are attending the 5 day electrical
course could you please arrive for 8.10am.
As our courses are ’hands on’
please remember to wear the appropriate clothing, old clothes
or overalls and an extra jumper in the winter months! Steel
toe capped boots or a strong pair of shoes is also advisable.
We have a tea, coffee and snack machine
on site (all chargeable) but please remember to bring your
lunch. A sandwich van visits the centre daily at about 10.30am
with hot & cold snacks. Our course are extremely popular
and sought after, herefore we recommend all candidates book
their courses as early as possible to avoid disappointment
as availability is limited and changes daily.
All of our tutors are dedicated to train
and teach to the best of there ability so that each candidate
leaves the training centre feeling confident to tackle everyday
situations. Thousands of candidates have attended our training
