our training centre. These course are all national qualifications.
EAL Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers
From 1st January 2005 a new section
of the building regulations came into force affecting the
installation of electrical fixed wiring in and around domestic
dwellings. It is now a LEGAL requirement for electricians,
kitchen, bathroom and gas installers carrying out electrical
installation work to comply with Part P of the building regulations.
This course will give you the necessary qualifications required
by the full scope electrical self-certification schemes operated
by :

- British Standards Institution
- Elecsa Ltd
- Napit Certification Services Ltd
- NICEIC Certification Services Ltd
Course Modules
This course covers such topics as applicable building regulations,
earthing and bonding requirements, cable and component selection,
electrical test procedures, completion of certificates, special
locations, installing cables and lighting installations. This
course is ideal for beginners with little or no experience.
The course is 70% theory and 30% practical with an exam to
sit on the last day. If for any reason you fail the exam or
practical elements a re-sit will be arranged for you free
of charge.

City & Guilds 2377 Portable Appliance Testing Qualification
All commercial premises need to have a PAT inspection periodically
to satisfy current health & safety regulations. This course
provides delegates with an understanding of the legal requirements
and the expertise to carry out portable appliance testing.
This is an ideal qualification to gain
to open up more avenues after completing the above 5 day domestic
electrical installers course.

Electrical BS7671 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Ideal for all those involved in electrical installation work
of any kind. Candidates should have an understanding of electrical
principles together with the experience of electrical installation
work. This course is designed to provide candidates with a
thorough understanding of the 17th Edition of the regulations.
It covers topics such as protection for safety, selection
and erection of equipment, inspection and testing to meet
the standards of the requirements for electrical installations.
Duration: 4 Days (8.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday) or 1
evening a week over 10 weeks for 3 hours per evening (6pm
- 9pm)
Entry Requirements: Understanding of electrical principles,
installation experience

& Registration Fee).

Electrical BS7671 16th - 17th Edition Update
Addresses changes to the existing standards.
Duration: 1 Day or 3 evenings (1 evening a week over 3 weeks
for 3 hours per evening 6pm - 9pm)
Entry Requirements: 16th Edition qualification AFTER June
2001 ( must bring certificate )
Cost: £199.00 (includes tuition, materials, exam papers
& registration).

Duration: 2 Days (8.30am - 4.30pm) or 1 evening a week over
5 weeks for 3 hours per evening (6pm - 9pm)
Entry Requirements: 16th Edition pre 2001 but fully experinced
with regulations
Cost: £300.00 (includes tuition, materials, exam papers
& registration).

Electrical Testing & Inspection VRQ
Provides a route to achieve the requirements of the advanced
electrical grading.
Entry Requirements: 17th Edition qualification
Duration: 3 Days
Cost: £500.00 (Includes Books, Exam Papers, Tuition,
and Registration).

Electrical Refunds only
If a candidate wishes to cancel a course or change the course
start date with more than 2 weeks notice a £45 administration
charge will be applied and if appropriate an alternative date
will be given.
If a candidate wishes to cancel a course
or change the course start date with less than 2 weeks notice
then all deposits paid will be lost as exam paper registration
would have been completed in order for you to sit the exam
and cannot be transferred to an alternative date.
Cancellation charges unfortunately have
to be enforced as costs occur for exam registration and for
administration when we exclusively hold training placements
for candidates which we cannot then promote.
