A good carpenter is worth their weight in gold. Many colleges have now stopped training courses in carpentry because of the ever increasing price of materials.

This course is designed to teach candidates with little or no knowledge of basic carpentry skills. After completion of this course you should be able to put your new skills into practise due to the national shortage of carpenters.

1. Demonstration & uses of carpentry tools and materials
2. Cut basic joints
3. Construct & make a workhorse & mitre box to keep
4. Mitre & profile cutting of skirting boards & architraves
5. Fix door lining & frame to partitioning
6. Hang a door
7. Fit mortice and yale door locks
